"Do hard Things" D-Now Weekend

With a little over a week to go for the D-now weekend....Are you Ready?

All Students have been rented and are ready for an awesome weekend.

This weekend will show that this time in your life you will  make some hard decisions. One in particular is rebelling against the low expectations that you have for yourself. You may have them because of what people have told you, what you have made up, or what you think adults think about you because of your age. Whatever it may be, dont let those things bring you down from really becoming the person God has made you to be.

Students if you have not gotten a permission slip or a Do's and Dont's of D-now, please contact Keith and pick one up this Sunday. If you need any help getting items on the list let one of your youth leaders know.

This is going to be an awesome weekend of worship, fellowshipping, and leanring more from what God wants from us.

Where did you put Jesus in those two areas?

For the next four weeks we will go through what being a follower of Jesus really looks like. We will also see what just being a fan of him looks like.
Take some time to really ask yourself who are you a fan of and who are you are a true follower of.

Are you a Follower of Jesus or JUST a fan?

2012: What are we going to do?

The year 2012 is here. What are we going to do?

It is all the talk these days of this being Earth's "Last year"

We are asking a different type of question in this 3 week series, then you may think.
 Instead of looking at all the buzz of when the calender will end, lets look at what we CAN do this year...

What are we going to do this year?

Will our lived look the same as last year?

Will we be making resolutions that we won't keep past February?

Have we set Goals that are unrealistic

Are the goals we are setting about us or are we looking towards God and His plan for our lived

"What are WE going to do?"

Keeping God in the forefront of our goals and letting him help us along the way will make 2012...not the end of the world but a whole new world with Jesus Christ

So ask yourself "What am I going to do... with GOD'S help?"
